Luggage Attandant

FLSA Status: Non -Exempt

SUMMARY:

The Luggage Attendant is responsible for assisting guests and owners with luggage or packages upon arrival and departure and accommodates guests during their stay attentively and courteously. This position will also serve as the greeter assisting guests in the lobby and attending to their questions and needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Greet guests upon arrival and escort them to their designated room, conference center, restaurant, etc.
  • Load and unload luggage onto carts and transport them to and from guest rooms.
  • Assist guests with check-in and check-out procedures.
  • Provide guests with information about the hotel services and amenities.
  • Answer guest inquiries and address their concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist guests with luggage storage and retrieval.
  • Assist guests with transportation needs and provide directions to local attractions.
  • Ensure the lobby and other public areas are clean and organized.
  • Maintaining order of any luggage stored in the bell closet.
  • Coordinates with Guest Services staff regarding daily VIP arrivals and special guests.
  • Follow all safety and security protocols.
  • Perform any other duties requested by Management.
  • Maintains inventory of all products necessary to conduct the job.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Bellman/ Luggage Attendants or relevant role is an advantage.
  • Able to lift, push, and pull heavy objects.
  • Condo/Hotel experience preferred.
  • Able to multitask and prioritize tasks.
  • Customer Service Oriented.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

EDUCATION:

  • High School degree, GED or Equivalent.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish (preferred).

REASONING ABILITY:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, associates, and external partners.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and respond quickly and effectively to emergencies.

  • Perform tasks that can require bending, stooping, kneeling, and/or walking.
