Bartender

Department: F&B-Bartender
Location: Miami, FL

SUMMARY:

The Bartender is responsible for mixing and serving alcoholic beverages based on customer requests. Verifying the identification and age of customers, preparing, and serving alcoholic beverages, accepting payment from customers, cleaning glasses and bar utensils, and balancing cash receipts to record sales.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages for bar and patrons
  • Interact with customers, taking orders, and serving snacks and drinks.
  • Display a deep knowledge of our menu, including liquors, beers, wines, and
  • Tobacco.
  • Assess bar customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations.
  • Prepare and maintain ingredients by following recipes.
  • Plan and present bar menu.
  • Coordinate daily supply inventory for bar and submit orders to supervisor; assist with receipt of deliveries.
  • Check customers’ identification and confirm they meet the legal drinking age.
  • Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
  • Stay guest-focused and nurture an excellent guest experience.
  • Listen to customer complaints and suggestions and resolve complaints.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area.
  • Comply with all food and beverage regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven minimum of 1 year of experience as a Bartender in a similar upscale hospitality setting.
  • Willing to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of craft cocktails, liquors, beers, wines, and tobacco

Products.

  • Excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks.
  • Computer literacy
  • Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
  • Customer Services Oriented.
  • Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked, and clean.

EDUCATION:

  • High School degree, GED or Equivalent.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Excellent verbal communication skills in English and Spanish (preferred).

REASONING ABILITY:

  • Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, associates, and external partners.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and respond quickly and effectively to emergencies.
