Pastry Cook II

SUMMARY:

The Pastry Cook II is responsible for assisting in the preparation and production of a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods. This role requires a fundamental foundation in pastry techniques and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality, creativity, and presentation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:?

  • Assist in the preparation and baking of pastries, cakes, and desserts according to established recipes.

  • Ensure quality and consistency in all pastry products, including taste, texture, and appearance.

  • Follow health and safety regulations, including but not limited to line checks, temperature logs and maintain a clean and organized workspace.

  • Support the Executive Pastry Chef in managing inventory and supplies as needed.

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient production and timely service.

  • Learn and apply new techniques and skills under the guidance of senior pastry staff.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; culinary degree or certification preferred.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a pastry kitchen with from scratch production.

  • Basic knowledge of pastry techniques, baking methods, and dessert presentation.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
