SUMMARY:

The Receiving Agent is responsible for efficiently receiving, inspecting, and documenting incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy and proper handling of goods. This role supports inventory management by organizing and storing products in the warehouse, and ensures timely distribution of goods. The Receiving Agent must maintain inventory accuracy, assist with the overall logistics process, and uphold safety standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy, quantity, and condition.
  • Record and document received items into the inventory system with attention to detail.
  • Label, store, and organize goods in designated warehouse areas, ensuring optimal space utilization.
  • Communicate with vendors and suppliers regarding discrepancies, damaged goods, or other issues.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy through cycle counting and audits.
  • Carry and transport heavy packages, ensuring safe and proper handling (up to 50 lbs).
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the receiving and warehouse areas.
  • Collaborate with inventory and shipping teams to manage stock levels and resolve discrepancies.
  • Follow all safety protocols and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Perform other duties as needed or assigned by the supervisor or manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience in a receiving, shipping, or inventory management role is preferred.
  • Ability to carry heavy packages (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical labor as needed.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel to track shipments and manage inventory data.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to resolve issues related to incoming shipments.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and inventory control.

EDUCATION:

  • Computer skills with Excel experience preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Excellent verbal communication skills in English and Spanish (required).

REASONING ABILITY:

  • Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, associates, and external partners.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and respond quickly and effectively to emergencies.
